RiverRaid
A downloadable game for Windows
Inspired by the classic Atari game, RiverRaid is a shoot-’em-up game where you control a jet plane fighting enemy helicopters.
🎮 Game Controls
- A / D → Move Left / Right
- W / S → Increase / Decrease Speed
- Space → Shoot
- Esc → Pause Game

1. Download the source folder
2. Unzip it
3. Double Click the RiverRaid.exe file
🚀 Features
- Built with SDL3 (alongside SDL3_image & SDL_ttf)
- Low-level audio implemented using **miniaudio**
- Lightweight & memory-efficient

Assets come from Canva, where they are distributed under an educational license.

🕹️ How To Install
1. Download the source folder
2. Unzip it
3. Double Click the RiverRaid.exe file
NOTE: While testing, I noticed Windows Defender might give a warning when running an .exe file from an unverified developer (that’s just me!). This is totally normal, so no need to worry. If it helps you feel more comfortable, you can always run a quick scan — the file is safe.
